At GratiTea we believe the more we seek self- the less we know ourselves. It may not ring true to you but give it some thought.
As we had stated above, putting oneself first is important but it should not be the sole focus. Consider the cliché saying- it is better to give than to receive. There is something that lights up in the heart when we do good onto others that cannot be replaced by doing good to self. In other words, when you bless others you too are blessed within. However, it is not fair to self or to others if our fountain is empty- but rather doing good should come from an overflow within. So then, the question is- what self-care practice will cause an overflow within?
This comes now to the thought of living beyond self- if our sole purpose is to satisfy self, no self-care practice will ever be enough. Consider our bodies as spiritual beings as much as physical beings. We believe the ultimate place of experiencing rest and self-care is through a relationship with Christ the Savior. A fullness and joy that is so deep that truly satisfies. If you don’t resonate, it is ok- just consider it food for thought.
We hope to create an unconventional self-care experience for you- where you will experience deep care as you sip on your GratiTea!
